Coach Ian HEAD COACH

Ian Andruszko

Hello! My name is Coach Ian. I am a history teacher at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School where I also coach swim and volleyball. I have also coached two years at Stingrays Swimming. I’ve been either a swimmer or a coach on this team for pretty much my entire life, so it means a lot to me.

Years Swimming: 13

Years on Dolphins: 19 years, 9 as coach

Favorite Stroke: IM

Favorite Summer Swim Memory: One year one of the meets got rained out halfway through, so the other team’s coach and I played a game of rock, paper, scissors to decide the winner of the meet. It was the most intense rock, paper, scissors game of my life. When I won the whole team went crazy and it was so fun.

Why I Coach for the Dolphins: It’s for the kids. I love watching all the kids learn and grow so much over the season and the years.

Here’s to another great season!
