GUPPIES: (a program for Future Dolphins)
Fee is $150 per child per season. Missed days are non-refundable.
Who is the Guppy Program perfect for?
The Guppy Program is set up for a child between the ages of 4-6 years old that may be new to the water, scared, and unsure about being on the Dolphin team.
What does the Guppy Program include?
- Small group ratio to learn basic water skills and first strokes
- Program to build a swimmer’s confidence and instill a love for water
- 30 minute practices that begin with morning practice times (Please see the calendar for details)
- Team shirt
- Swim cap
- End of season mini meet
- End of season award
- End of the season celebration

SWIM READINESS CHECKLIST
Requirements for Dolphins:
●In a meet, your child can swim an entire length of the pool unassisted
There is no time requirement during practice, but a child must be able to complete the length in 90 seconds during a meet or they will be removed from the water. A child can hold the lane rope to rest.
●Your swimmer is comfortable in the water without a parent
If your swimmer is unable to be in the water without an adult holding him/her, he/she is not ready, and the Guppy program is a better fit.
●Your swimmer has a willingness to learn and an enthusiastic attitude
The goal of our swim team is for every child to improve and have fun. The coaches have a much easier time teaching a child who is interested than one who is scared, crying, upset, or unwilling to try. We need all swimmers to give coaches their undivided attention during practice to ensure safety for all involved. Disrespect will not be tolerated.
●Your swimmer can jump off the side of the pool into 5ft of water
We cannot catch, nor coax, children. Children are not required to know how to dive.
