Meet Timeline and Events

In case of illness or emergency, please text Hannah Lamb at 769-232-0437 as soon as you are aware your child cannot swim.

  • Swim meets begin at 6:00pm (home or away)
  • Set up can begin at 4:00pm
  • Home meet warm-ups start at 5:00pm.
  • Away meet warm-ups start at 5:30pm.
  • Swimmers will check in with coaches before warmup to receive a slip with their races listed.
  • Volunteers check in with coordinators before the meet to get name tag, directions
  • The meets usually end around 10:00pm
  • Information for both home and away meets will be sent via email.

Parking Information

  • Only park on pool side (West side) of Tritt Springs Trace or Tritt Springs Trace Northeast
  • Do Not Park along Post Oak Tritt Rd
  • AWAY meets will have an email with parking directions at least a day before the upcoming meet

Events Swum at Meets:

5-6 year old:

  • 25 free, 25 back, 100 free relay (4 swimmers, 1 lap each)

7-8 and 9-10 year old:

  • 25 or 50 free, 25 back, 25 breast, 25 butterfly, 100 IM
  • 100 free relay, 100 medley relay (4 swimmers, 1 lap each)

11 & up:

  • 50 free, 100 free, 50 back, 50 breast, 50 butterfly, 100 IM
  • 200 free relay, 200 medley relay (4 swimmers, 2 laps each)

Individual Medley (IM) Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle

Medley relay (alphabetical order): Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, Freestyle

For 5/6 & 7/8s in relays

Swimmer #1 or #3: deep end start

Swimmer #2 or #4: shallow end start

What To Bring To a Meet

The list below will help you get started with items you might want to bring to a meet.

  • Post Oak Blue Dolphin t-shirt
  • Post Oak Blue Dolphin swim cap
  • Goggles
  • Bag for all your stuff (labeled)
  • Sharpie Marker
  • Sunblock
  • Towels
  • Folding Chairs
  • Money (or Venmo) for Concessions
  • A Fun and Relaxed Attitude!

Meet Tips

  • Practice in the morning; REST in the afternoon
  • Dress and have fun with the theme for the meet
  • Support the team's amazing concession stand
  • Label EVERYTHING you can
  • Bring a Sharpie to write your swimmer’s events on his/her arm or leg.
  • Volunteers need to check in before the meet
  • Home meets: Come as early as 4pm to set up chairs OUTSIDE pool gates
  • Swimmers need to be at their designated swim lane or bullpen area THREE races before their event takes place.
  • If a swimmer must leave early from a meet, please note that when signing up for the meet.
  • Please don't leave a meet without letting a coach or coordinator know. Your relay is counting on you.
  • Always bring a fun and helpful attitude!
