Hello Dolphin Families!

As you know, this is my last year as coordinator for the Dolphins. I have been coordinating for the last eight years, but I have actually been involved with the Dolphins for the past 20 years! My oldest will be 26 this year and she was also a Dolphin beginning at five! So, in one way or another, there has been some volunteering on this team for me. We have come a LONG way from writing out absolutely every ribbon and timer sheet, to moving to everything printed, having a website, automatically knowing events from Swimtopia, and having an actual heat/event board instead of flipping cards to the next event. 

I wanted to let you know that we do have a new coordinator for next year. 

Our new coordinator for next year will be...drum role...COACH IAN!

We are so excited to have him take on this role. He will step back as a head coach and still help with coaching, but more of an emphasis on running the team in general.

As I pass on this torch to Coach Ian, I want to try and simplify this role a bit and that is where I need your help! Coach Ian and I have talked a lot about what will work for next year and think we have a good handle on things with needing some additional help in just a few areas.

Swim-a-thon Coordinator 

• Update form for collecting donations
• Update website with information for Swimathon
• Send letters out to businesses for prize donations (can update past letter)
• Secure prizes with two per age group for most laps
• Secure prizes for top three fundraisers (larger prizes)
• Secure prize for top family fundraiser 
• Take lap information from collection sheets and plug into excel form
• Organize prizes to hand out at celebration 

Merchandise Coordinator

• Organize merch and hand out to swimmers

TEAM Sponsor Coordinator

• Solicit sponsors for the team (different than prize sponsors)
• Order banner with logos from sponsors
• Set up logo display with Merchandise Coordinator for t-shirts

Ribbons Coordinator

• Print ribbons after meet
• Place stickers on ribbons 
• Hand out ribbons on Fun Fridays and celebration for end of season

• Starter
